Easy Vegan Ranch Recipe
When we started removing dairy from our diet, vegan ranch was one of the first things we learned how to make dairy free. Our kids use ranch for everything. We tried a few different recipes on Pinterest in the beginning. Eventually, we came up with our own recipe with fresh ingredients. I noticed most recipes call for dried dill and parsley and those work perfectly fine, but we prefer fresh over dried ingredients. This recipe is extremely simple and quick.
We have a dill plant so we use that in our ranch. If you don’t have one, you can buy fresh dill and parsley at the store. For the mayo, we buy the Just Mayo brand We have tried a couple other vegan mayos and they just didn’t taste right. Just Mayo is definitely our favorite. It tastes just like mayo and has the perfect texture. For our recipes, we are making them for nine people so we make a decent sized batch. If you don’t need this much you can just cut everything in half. Our recipe makes 15 ounces of ranch.
First, you will want to mix your mayo, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice in a bowl.
If you don’t have a garlic press you should invest in one! We use our press almost every day. It is so much easier than trying to crush garlic by hand yourself. How much garlic you use in your ranch depends on how strong of a garlic flavor you’d like. We used three, and it’s pretty strong. If you want just a subtle garlic flavor, I would only use one clove.
Add the crushed garlic, parsley, dill, paprika, onion powder, salt and pepper and mix well.
If you want a thick texture for a dip, then you’re done! This is great to dip your veggies in!
If you’re wanting a dressing, add any type of non-dairy milk and mix well. We used flax milk because that is what we had in our fridge. We have also used almond milk, coconut milk, and rice milk before and all of these turned out great!
Now just transfer your ranch into a mason jar or container. This vegan ranch should last for about a week in the fridge. You can use it right away! Ranch never lasts long in our house, we make it a couple times a week. Let us know what you think!

- 2 cups vegan mayo Just Mayo brand preferred
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp fresh dill
- 1-3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup non-dairy milk (optional)
Mix together mayo, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice in a bowl.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Omit the milk if you would like a thicker texture for a dip, add the milk if you want a creamier texture for a dressing.
Transfer to mason jar or container and refrigerate for up to a week.
